Wow has time flown!  I can't believe that it is the start of my fifth year as Principal of Rio Linda Elementary School.  I am very proud of the work we do here at Rio Linda School.  The teachers, staff, families and students work very hard to create a caring community and  academically successful students.  We value every child that comes to our school and work hard to find ways to help each child excel  academically, socially and emotionally.  Our community is extraordinary and each year we keep improving!  

This year, our motto is "Reach for the Stars!"  Together - families, staff and students - will work hard to meet expectations academically, have fun learning together, share ideas and play some too.    

The staff and I will be planning some great family nights for this year.  In the past we have had a Family Skate Night, Arts Night,  Performance Nights, Literacy Nights, and Movie Nights.  I am sure some of these plus some new ones will show up on our calendar this year.  In addition to these fun events, our PTA is already planning our Fall Carnival, Book Fairs, and Dessert with Santa.  

I am looking forward to this year and all that it will bring.  I hope that all of you are too.
